These words come from an amazing piece of Biblical poetry known as the Song of Songs (8:6). They are some of the best loved words in Scripture, and they describe the commitment and covenant toward which human love naturally tends. Marriage is the sign of that commitment and covenant, made by the vows of two people to have and to hold one another through the adventure of life.
