The Womb of Christ

In his sermon for the baptisms of Beatrice and Emery, Fr. Peter Walsh invites us to explore the mystery of our union with Christ. In Jesus' prayer in John 17, He prayed for our oneness with Him and each other. We're reminded that baptism is more than a ritual. It's our entry into the 'womb of Christ,' where we learn to recognize His voice and become part of His mystical body. The imagery of a newborn recognizing a parent's voice is beautifully paralleled by our spiritual journey of knowing and being known by God. We are loved more deeply than we can imagine, and 'marked as Christ's own forever.'
