Father Justin takes a look at one of Jesus’ most enigmatic sayings, where Jesus compares Christian faith to salt. Just as salt brings out the flavor of all the other ingredients of a dish, Christian faith is meant to bring out the flavor of all other parts of life, including those not ordinarily thought “religious” or “spiritual.” Followers of Jesus ought to be the life of the party, not hall monitors, and our faith in God can bring us joy even in the most difficult circumstances.
