The Faith that Makes Us Well

Father Justin considers two stories of healing which the Gospel of Mark sandwiches together: the healing of the woman who touches the hem of Jesus’ garment, and the healing of Jairus’s twelve-year-old daughter. These stories belong together because they both involve literally coming into contact with Jesus. When we turn to Jesus by faith, we come into contact with Jesus spiritually, and we receive His healing, consolation, and strength.
